Therapy for Racial Identity & Systemic Trauma

Your racial identity has had a major factor on how you move through this world and are interpreted.

Therapy that considers your race and many layers is absolutely critical in understanding you.

While cultural identity and racial identity is something to be celebrated, we live in a world that has marginalized people who don’t identify as the dominant culture, or the white culture.

Such a world has perhaps led you to systemic trauma that needs to be explored. It might even be colorism that you have experienced in your own family.

The reasons and effects are endless. It’s important to have a therapist that cares about the intersectionality that has shaped you. I know that my identity as a mixed provider isn’t invisible in the room, and it’s important that your identity is considered also.
